Hearing Jesus' Voice: Reflection for Wednesday in Week of 6 Epiphany, Year 2

Reflection:

Take a moment and think about the last time you heard Jesus' voice. What did it sound like? How did you sense His presence?

If you're like those I recently posed this question to, the first thing that may come to mind are the relationships you have, either with God or with other people.

Relationship is a key part of who Jesus is. As He tells us in John 10, the Good Shepherd, Jesus, lays down His life for the sheep. The good news for us is that in laying down His life, Jesus not only takes it up again, but gives us the opportunity to live as well.

Following Jesus, the Good Shepherd, means having this same kind of love, the love of one who would die for another to give life to them. For that kind of love, we can truly say, 'Thanks be to God!'
