Our Gospel lesson is important today because it shows that Jesus had a choice. He could have said something to Pilate or Herod that would have ended the trial and he could have gone home free.
Jesus knew the importance of His work, though. He knew His death would help save us all. He didn’t run away from saving us, but instead continued on the path to show His love.
We have a choice when it comes to do good for others. My hope is that we will try to follow Jesus’ path and always make the choice for love whenever we can in our lives.
