When I received my call to ministry, I wasn’t really sure what was going on. It took me time to think over what had happened to determine the best way forward.
Andrew, on the other hand, immediately accepted the call to follow Jesus. The Orthodox tradition even refers to him as “the first called”.
We shouldn’t necessarily dive in head first to anything that comes our way, but we should when that thing coming our way is Jesus. We could all do with being a bit more like Andrew and not hesitating when our Lord calls in our direction.
