It can be easy to forget that England has a state religion: the Church of England. It was never difficult to remember this, though, when Queen Elizabeth II gave her Christmas address every year. Her messages were not only filled with hope; they also were centered in our Faith in Jesus Christ. Many of us would look forward to listen to her words and what they had to offer.
Elizabeth II was a great example of living out the Christian Faith to all the world, in good times and in difficult ones. It was clear that Faith was a guiding principle in her life, and it is our hope that Faith can be such a guide to us all. She will be missed not just by her subjects, but by all believers who looked to her example in the world.
