Angels aren’t just sweet little divine entities. Their name literally means “messenger”. That is what angels are. That is what they do.
That the angels would be “ascending and descending on the Son of Man” a.k.a. Jesus means a great deal. It means Jesus is the center of the message they are called to bring.
That old Sunday School adage that if you don’t know the answer say Jesus turns out to be correct. Jesus is at the core of the Divine Message. Jesus is the answer to what is being delivered. Jesus is at the center of everything.
