Awake and With Us in the Storm: Rolle, Hilton, and Kempe

There are times in our lives when it can seem like God is not there. We can be like the Disciples, worried and feeling like God is nowhere to be found except asleep at the stern.

The thing is, with Jesus asleep in the middle of the storm, He is clearly less worried than they are. Yet when they cry out to Him, Jesus helps them all the same.

Whatever storms we weather, no matter how dangerous or scary, God will be there with us, even if we’re not sure that He’s awake. And if we should find Jesus asleep in the boat with us, that’s probably a sign we don’t need to worry, even if things seem scary and dangerous.
